How to meet Tim Ferriss in real Life? I always wondered if I could pull it off… Meeting a high status person such as Tim certainly took some cunning. My wife Tiffany was instrumental in fulfilling this dream of mine – Here’s how we pulled it off.
How to meet Tim Ferriss: My story
In May 2013 I was lucky enough to meet Tim Ferriss in Person at an after party of TNW in Amsterdam which was very exciting.
How did I do it? I was going to an event with the goal to connect with him.
I have been a fan of Tim’s work for a long time and to meet him in person was one of the items on my bucket list.
Have a Strategy and then Execute it!
As with all success that you want to create in life, you need a plan… a strategy to follow.
My wife Tiffany created the opportunity through leveraging her local connections from attending the conference and being brave enough to ask if he was available for a meeting.
When we met Tim we were very polite and respectful of his time which is a good tip if you want to maximize your time with a high profile guy such as Tim.
We both had the opportunity to ask Tim some questions which he graciously answered. I was very impressed with his down to earth attitude, insight and kindness. He truly is a cool guy.
The 4 Hour Work Week: How to create a Muse Business
I came across the work of Timothy Ferriss in 2007 when Tim published his first book the 4 Hour Work Week (4HWW).
You will learn how to escape the 9-5, live anywhere, and join the new rich.
I loved his work and from then on I was hooked on building a lifestyle that was based on 4HWW principles.
The 4HWW has changed the way a new generation of entrepreneurs are creating their own lifestyles of passion, productivity, and freedom.
The 4 Hour Body: Mastering Health through Biohacking
In 2011 Tim published his second book The 4 Hour Body (4HB) covering many aspects of health and wellness.
The 4 Hour Body is an Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat Loss, Incredible Sex and Becoming Superhuman.
Through the work of Tim in the 4HB, the term biohacking got associated with tweaking one’s health through self-experimentation, tracking and nutritional science.
Since then I was totally hooked and convinced on the concept of using intensive tracking methodologies and blood marker testing to master an objective approach to health.
The 4 Hour Chef: Meta-Learning and the Art of Cooking
His latest masterpiece is The 4 Hour Chef (4HC). I actually used a lot of his gluten-free recipes on my journey of getting a serious autoimmune disease into remission.
The 4 Hour Chef beautifully outlines a simple path to cooking like a pro, learning anything, and living the good life.
His concept of Meta-Learning is a key skill that I mastered over the last years. At our meeting at the Next Web, I got his new book.
I got a personally signed copy from Tim which is super exciting. And as always he gives value: he points out to keep a measure on any goal that you aspire to achieve. A very wise man…
Tools of Titans: Learning from the Best there are
Tim’s latest Masterpiece is the book Tools of Titans. Again it’s a bestseller – in this book Tim interviews top performers in business, sports, and creativity.
You will learn the tactics, routines, and habits of billionaires, icons, and world-class performers. But I warn you… as always it’s a lot of content!
So how to meet Tim Ferriss?
- figure out Tim’s schedule via getting on his email list, twitter feed or Instagram posts!

- then add some value to his work in some creative way and get an exchange going.
I am posting the photos with him here and share his books as a resource so that’s my way of giving back!
